Kid’s Power and Light Ministry
KPL is a ministry that brings our children into a discipleship strategy that creates strong followers of Christ. This is essential if we want to be relevant to the next generation. Our curriculum includes life-application objectives and activities. All our lessons are planned in a way that teachers and assistants tell the Bible story using pictures, real life experiences and language easier for our children to understand to better help them connect with the lesson. Games and songs are also implemented in all our classes. Worship time is very important in all our meetings. Our children’s ministry accommodates and meets the needs of ministry workers, families in our church, and the children we minister to. The classes are divided into age appropriate groups: 0-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-13, and the curriculum is relevant to each child and their needs as a whole. We meet every Sunday at our two morning services, 9am and 10:30am.
Special Needs Ministry (Friendship Ministry)
Friendship Ministry was implemented for children ages 4 to 19 with special needs. Friendship Ministry’s mission is to share God’s love with people who have intellectual disabilities and to enable them to become an active part of God’s family. We are more than happy to work with our children and with many more to come. All our teachers have experience in teaching children with special needs and have great hearts that serve God through serving and teaching our children. This ministry has its own classroom and a student-teacher ratio of 2:1. We meet every Sunday at our 10:30am service. Please share this information with other families and invite them to visit this amazing ministry.
Spanish Kid’s Power and Light Ministry
In our Spanish Ministry Sunday School, the age groups are divided into 0-4 years old, 5-7 years old, 8-11 years old, and 12-15 years old. All our lessons are bilingual but mostly in Spanish. Our teachers and assistants do a great job teaching our children in Spanish using bible story videos, pictures, worship songs, and games as well. We meet every Sunday at our 1:30pm Spanish Service.
All of our teachers are caring and dedicated teachers committed to share the love and knowledge of God with all our children. All teachers are subject to background checks, have attended trainings and are certified in Christian Education. The Children’s Ministry participates in many activities in our church throughout the year including Children’s Choir, Christmas Plays, Sleepovers, Fallfest, Open Houses in our church and field trips on Long Island.
