Helping Hands Ministry
The Helping Hands ministry was established a few years ago in hopes of reaching out to our community of faith. Our desire is to follow the principles of our church in a personal, individual way by simply helping one another. We are a ministry that tends to the personal needs of one another – including meals, companionship, transportation, everyday guidance in areas such as auto care etc., supplies, again including everything from furniture to clothing. We are also actively creating a spinoff ministry for holiday gatherings so that no one is alone during a holiday time. Bethpage Assembly offers other ministries that reach out to the community and to the newcomer. If you are a member or have been attending our church regularly, then this ministry is for you. If you have a need or are willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need, please contact the church office. For more information about this ministry, please click here.
“I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you
and not to harm you; plans to give you a hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
The mission of the Bethpage Assembly of God Counseling Ministry is to provide Christ-centered, professional counseling services. We use a Biblical-Clinical model to facilitate emotional healing, adjustment, and renewing of the mind. Professional services offered include mental illness, addiction, depression, anxiety, bereavement/grief/loss, trauma, life adjustment, crisis intervention, marriage and premarital counseling. All services are provided by a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC). Counseling sessions take place in a private, handicapped-accessible facility, where client confidentiality is assured. Our fees are set to make our counseling services affordable. We also currently accept the following insurance plans – Blue Cross/Blue Shield; Cigna; United Healthcare; Fidelis; Emblem/GHI and Out of Network Provider. Office hours are offered in both day and evening.
Through our Counseling Ministry, we also offer special events throughout the year such as marriage encounters, a grief support group and other programs. Please check our Facebook page at Bethpage Assembly of God Church for more information. You can also contact our Counseling Office by phone at 516-780-0444, call the church office at 516-931-2378, or by email – please click here for more information.
Prayer Chain Ministry
Sadly in this day and age there are many who claim that God is no longer performing miracles. That is not the case here at Bethpage Assembly of God Church. We are a praying church; we have congregational prayer each second Sunday of the month and we also provide a “Prayer Chain” which immediately activates sixty plus dedicated prayer warriors to beseech the throne of grace on behalf of those who are sick, depressed, addicted or facing other struggles. A call to our church office activates this prayer chain who transmits the request to ministry leaders. We have the testimony of one brother who was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. After much prayer and treatment at a cancer treatment center, we are pleased to report the cancer is in remission. Praise God. The objective of the Men’s Ministry is to build up and courage men to become strong in God’s word and live our lives in a manner that is pleasing before the Lord. Our goal is to build strong Christian leaders in our homes, our church and in the workplace. We meet for prayer and a fellowship breakfast on the third Saturday of each month beginning at 9:30am and ending by 11:30am. This time of fellowship is a great opportunity to meet and get to know other men in the church body. We hope you will visit us soon and truly experience a place where “God is Able!” Remember us in your prayers as the Holy Spirit continues to raise up mighty men equipped with godly wisdom to assume the position of high priest of their homes and families and to effectively serve God’s purpose for this generation under the annointing of God. The Ministry to Women has a threefold purpose at Bethpage Assembly of God. First and foremost, Women’s Ministry is designed to lead women to Christ, allowing them to be changed and transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Second to disciple and encourage women in developing an intimate, personal relationship with Jesus Christ through bible study and prayer. Third, to meet women’s needs for fellowship through meaningful gatherings.
We gather together on the 4th Saturday of every month to have breakfast, fellowship and pray. Check the Church Calendar on the Events page for upcoming events.
We share, we encourage and we pray!
Hope you can join us! For additional information about Women’s Ministries, please click here.
